Mark Ovenden
Sports Director | Mark has been in sportscasting since 1976 where he began his career as weekend sports anchor at WTVR in Richmond, VA. The Boston native always wanted to be a sportscaster since driving friends crazy by doing play by play of almost every game he played in as a kid! "The love of sports and
gift for gab made this a natural!" He's done state football and basketball tournaments on television and a variety of radio play-by-play over the years. "It's the friendships that I've made that have made this the most worthwhile!"
Ovenden is a father of three sons who are all now married and has 2 grandsons. "When the boys were involved in high school and college sports it made my job even more fun!" Mark still loves to go to games with his sons, golf, ski, play racquetball and occasionally hunt and fish. Mark loves his job. "I'm lucky to be doing something I truly enjoy." He has been at KDLT since 1996 and in the Sioux Falls market since 1978.
