Helping Families In Need This Holiday Season

Bookmark and Share

As many of us know, the holidays can be very stressful, as well as a depressing time for many individuals and families in the Sioux empire, but a local organization that provides help to all that call-in are now calling for your help.

Sara Carothers with the Helpline Center here in Sioux Falls joined us Friday morning to tell us more about how you can help folks in need this Holiday season.

It's called the Holiday Clearing House and folks can adopt a family this holiday season and buy gifts and everyday necessities for the family that they wouldn't normally be able to afford. All you have to do is call 2-1-1 and in about 2 minutes they will pair you up with a family or teen in need. It's a great way to also make a friend, because you have the opportunity to deliver the gifts to the family or remain anonymous.

Distribution begins next week, so there is still some time to get involved and make someone's Christmas a little brighter this December.
