The Stampede won on the road Wednesday night, blacking Chicago 2-0. Ryan Keller’s backhand shot in the first period gave the Herd a 1-0 lead. It stayed that way until 19:45 when Austyn Young tallied an empty netter to seal it for the Herd. The Stampede killed off a four minute, double-minor penalty with just five minutes remaining in the game.

 

Stephon Williams made 18 saves to earn his second career shutout which have both come in Chicago.

 

The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Herd who are now 9-12-1 on the season and travel to Dubuque at 6:05 PM on Friday. Stampede return home on Saturday to face Des Moines at 5:05 PM.
