If you're looking to beat the cold outside, why not warm up with some hot jazz music to the likings of the Red Hot Skillet Lickers.
Brienne Manor of the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society joined us Friday to tell us more about the sizzling act of Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers
Lavay is a former Jazz Fest Headliner and has been given rave reviews, even caught the attention of Blues Brother, Dan Aykroyd and Former President Bill Clinton.
Her act features an eight piece acoustic band where many of the performers have played with talents such as Nat "King" Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Rosemary Clooney, Dizzy Gillespie and Frank Sinatra just to name a few.
She will be performing Friday night at the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls. Tickets are $30 and $42, with student tickets for $12. The show starts at 8 p.m.
