Bookmark and Share

A Grand Island, Neb. man died in a one-vehicle crash in southeast South Dakota Saturday.

Public safety officials say 66-year-old Ronald Hahn was driving on U.S. Highway 281 around 1:45 p.m. when his 1991 Chevrolet Geo Tracker drifted into the northbound lane and onto the shoulder. He over-corected and crossed over both lanes of traffic and rolled onto its roof in the ditch about three miles south of Stickney.

Officials say Hahn was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
