Bond has been set at $100,000 cash-only for a Sioux Falls man who authorities say held officers at bay for three hours after a dispute with his neighbors.
Twenty-six-year-old Lawrence Larsen is charged with three counts of aggravated assault for allegedly threatening a toddler, her mother and her grandmother in front of his apartment. Authorities allege he pointed a handgun at the females, threatened to shoot the girl and fired a shot into the air.
Officers who responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon blocked off part of a city street during evening rush hour.
Larsen eventually surrendered peacefully. He said in court that his neighbors have a history of calling the police on him.
