A 16-year-old Sioux Falls girl has been fined $520 and has lost her license for 30 days for driving 101 mph on Interstate 90 in Mitchell with a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.
The girl was arrested March 3 and pleaded guilty March 22 to drunken driving and speeding. She also was given 65 days in custody but the sentence was suspended.
The teen also was ordered to pay about $228 in fees. She was given the option of paying half the fines and fees and working 45 hours of community service.
