A Manderson woman has pleaded guilty to stealing from an American Indian tribe in South Dakota.
Fifty-year-old Deb Cuny faces a theft charge in federal court. Authorities say she embezzled more than $1,000 from the Wounded Knee Community Development Corp. between December 2010 and April 2011.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says Cuny faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced July 6.
