Another state Senate committee has kept the Vikings stadium bill moving at Minnesota's Capitol.
The Senate Jobs and Economic Development Committee moved the proposal forward today on a voice vote. It's due next in the Senate Finance Committee which could be its last stop before a Senate floor vote. Vikings team president Lester Bagley was cautiously optimistic that the momentum is on the Vikings side.
"This has to get done," Bagley said, "This is the year, it's going to be close, we're not in the prediction business but we're hopeful and we're encouraged by the events of the last 48 hours.">
The House version of the $1 billion stadium proposal has cleared committees and could get a floor vote as early as Wednesday.
