On Thursday kids had the chance to get on the farm or at least get a feel of what it's like to be on one.
Created by Paulson Marketing, the South Dakota Corn Growers Association is traveling to schools across the state showcasing their 'Amazing Corn Adventure' interactive trailer. The trailer teaches kids about corn and the role it plays in our everyday lives. There's even a remodeled tractor cab that kids can sit in, so they can get a feel for what it's like to plant corn and harvest.
Paulson Marketing President Greg Guse said, "So many kids today are a generation or two removed from the farm so as a result of that they don't have a full appreciation of what agriculture means in our lives, what it means to our state's economy and just the importance of farming to generating the food we eat," said Paulson Marketing President Greg Guse.
The trailer is geared toward children ages 5 to 15. Paulson Marketing and The Corn Growers Association were awarded Best of Show for an Advertising award for their work on the trailer.
