One of the five men arrested in a Rapid City crime spree in March has accepted a plea deal with prosecutors.
Nineteen-year-old Shauvon Tobacco has pleaded guilty to a robbery charge that could land him in prison for up to 25 years. Prosecutors are dropping other charges that could have put the maximum prison time at more than 50 years.
Tobacco and the four other men are accused in a crime spree that began with a theft at a store and ended with a police chase in which one of the suspects allegedly fired a BB gun and a police officer returned fire. No one was hurt.
