Voters in South Dakota will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in the 2012 primary election.
Statwide, Democrats and Independents will choose a candidate to run against Rep. Kristi Noem (R) for the state's at-large seat in the House of Representatives. Republicans will select their candidate for November's presidential election.
Voters of both parties will narrow state legislative races as those primaries are decided Tuesday. Several communities will also hold municipal and school board elections.
