South Dakotans are choosing a Democratic nominee for the U.S. House on Tuesday. They're also deciding 30 primary contests for the state Legislature.
Polling places opened at 7 a.m. local time Tuesday. They'll be closing at 7 p.m. local time.
U.S. House Democratic candidates Matt Varilek and Jeff Barth are competing for their party's nomination to run against incumbent Republican Kristi Noem this fall.
Both Varilek and Bart spent Monday doing last-minute campaigning in the run-up to Tuesday's vote.
