Jeff Barth Falls In U.S. House Primary

Bookmark and Share

Jeff Barth lost the Democratic nomination for Congress Tuesday night.

KDLT News spoke with Barth just after he conceded the election to his opponent, Matt Varilek.

Barth says he will not continue his run for the U.S. House of Representatives as a third party. He says Varilek has become a better candidate over the last few months.

Barth will continue to work for the Minnehaha County Commission for the next two years. His term expires Dec. 31, 2014.
