City Shows Off Reconstruction Project

Bookmark and Share

Sioux Falls is home to major road construction during the summer months.

From busy streets like Cliff and Western, to roads that see less traffic, City Engineer, Chad Huwe, said it's important to bring attention to some of the smaller projects around the city, specifically construction on Seventh Street between Grange and Prairie Avenue.

"We want to highlight a smaller project that we just completed, it doesn't effect thousands of vehicles, it effects a couple of hundred, maybe five hundred a day and maybe three or four dozen homes and just highlight that we've been out here, we started the project and we're done," said Huwe.

The project began on April 2nd and consisted of new street surfacing, a brand new water main, sanitary sewer repairs and more.

This year, 24 blocks in the city undergo reconstruction.
