SD Board Of Water Approves $45M In Grants, Loans

Millions of dollars in grants and loans will go to several towns, communities and associations in South Dakota for projects related to drinking water, wastewater and recycling.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced that the state Board of Water and Natural Resources approved more than $45 million projects during its recent board meeting in Pierre.
The $45 million total includes nearly $2.8 million in grants and $42.2 million in loans. The grants and loans awarded are administered through the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
In a statement, Daugaard said the grants and loans will result in better drinking water, improved wastewater and better protection of the environment.
