Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD) answered questions from voters in her first town hall meeting in Sioux Falls Wednesday.

The town hall meeting was held at the University Center's Avera Hall and lots of people showed up to express their opinions and ask hard-hitting questions for representative Noem to answer.

Noem said it's important to meet with South Dakotans to discuss topics directly effecting the people.

"A lot of discussion about healthcare, a lot of discussion about tax policy and regulations, but also some concerns about school lunches and some of the new regulations that are coming out of Washington, DC that are impacting are kids and what they eat at school," said Noem.

Representatives from her challenger, Matt Varilek's campaign, were also in attendance and said this is Noem's first town hall.

When asked, Noem said she has and will continue to host open discussions for people to attend.
