Augie Drops Game to Mary, Even Their Record on the Season

The Augustana football team sits at 1-1 on this early season after their 31-25 loss to the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota on Saturday. Even though the Mauraders went through the air on all of their touchdowns the Vikings didn't get beat by the run for the score and that is something Coach Aldrich preaches to his team throughout the season.

"Our main goal is being able to stop the run. We kind of feel like thats the biggest trait of a winning team is if you can stop the run as a defense. We will defintely be focusing on that again." said Aldrich.

Next game the Vikings play host to the Golden Eagles of Minnesota Crookston on Saturday.
