It's safe to say that the University of Sioux Falls Cougars football squad is rolling at the beginning of this young 2012 season.
After two dominating wins to open the season in the NSIC the Cougars know this season is still a challenge and it's one they have been waiting for for a long time.
"It's like you've been waiting so long for an opportunity to play with a little bit higher of competition and when it's here it's just like man this challenge is here, it's in front of us, you know you can win at NAIA and you know you can beat teams pretty bad and go to the national championship, but after awhile, like i said, it's time to move on and we're taking that with a head of steam," said Quarterback Taylor Perkins.
A full head of steam is right, outscoring their first two opponents 77-29 and knocking off number 16th ranked St. Cloud State convincingly in the process.
The Cougars are in Minot, North Dakota on Saturday. Kick-off is for 2:30.
