SF Student Facing Charges After He Was Drunk At School

Bookmark and Share

A Sioux Falls teenager is facing criminal charges after police say he went to school drunk.

Police say teachers at Lincoln High School noticed the 15-year-old's behavior was "off" and sent him to the office. Officers say he was given a Breathalyzer and blew .218 Tuesday morning.

A school resource officer also found a pocketknife on the student. It's unknown where he got the alcohol.

The teenager is charged with underage consumption and possession of a weapon on school grounds. He was taken to the juvenile detention center.
