Two men are behind bars for possessing items consistent with that of Methamphetamine lab. Forty-seven-year-old Curtis Christensen and 27-year-old Gregory Smith, both of Sioux Falls, were arrested for manufacturing and possession of a controlled drug as well as paraphenelia.
Police say they were called to their duplex at 803 S. Main Avenue Saturday night just before 11 p.m. A neighbor said there was a strong smell coming from their door.
When the officer talked to the men, they smelled it too and asked to take a look around. When they went inside, they found a syringe with meth in it and a straw and a dollar bill with meth residue.
Because one of the men was on parole, police got permission to search the home. In the trash, were items consistent with the makings of a meth lab.
Christensen is also being charged with inhabiting a room where drugs are kept and because it's Smith's home he is being charged with maintaining a place where drugs are kept.
