Entrepreneurs from around the region gathered in Yankton Thursday to make some new business connections.
Wire Me Awake is a unique conference that encourages a passion for growth and innovation.
The event is designed to bring community leaders and small businesses together to network and share new ideas.
The conference, which took place at the Field Archery Conference Center, drew people from all kinds of businesses.
Individuals spent the afternoon networking, listening to speakers and even had a little fun practicing archery.
Ben Hanten, a representative from Wire Me Awake, helped to host the successful event. He wanted to be sure everyone that attended left with something useful.
"I want people to go home, have a phone full of new contacts. That they can talk to people if they have questions to make their business better," said Hanten.
Some of the speakers at the event included Frank Fritz from The History Channel’s American Pickers and Emma Peterson, the creator of Tikly, a competitor to TicketMaster.
