State Soccer Championships Go to Overtime

The State High School Soccer Tournament for sanctioned schools finished up in Aberdeen on Friday.
In the girls state championship Aberdeen shut out O'Gorman 2-0 in overtime. While St. Thomas More shut out Groton Area 6-0 for 3rd place.
In the boys state championship Sioux Falls Christian went into double overtime with the Knights of O'Gorman. This match ended in a shoot out with Sioux Falls Christian coming out on top 2-1 to win the championship.
In the 3rd place game for the boys it was Aberdeen topping Groton Area 2-1.
