Kan. Woman Killed In Crash Near Watertown

We now know the name of the woman involved in a fatal crash in South Dakota on Friday. The accident happened just after 11 am about 10 miles west of Watertown.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Stephanie May of Lawrence, Kan. was driving east on Highway 212 when her car crossed the center line. The Patrol says that's when a Mack truck heading west collided with May's vehicle.

May received fatal injuries in the crash. Her three-year-old son and 57-year-old John Shoultz of Huron, who was driving the truck, escaped the crash without injuries.

All of them were wearing seatbelts.
