3 Injured In Rollover Crash Near Thomas, SD

Emergency crews and the Hamlin County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover accident on 178th Street about a mile east of 452nd Avenue. That's about three miles northeast of Thomas, SD.

The 22-year-old driver had swerved to miss an animal on the road and went into the south ditch where the vehicle had rolled.

All three occupants were taken to the hospital by the Watertown and Lake Norden Ambulance. The driver and two passengers were not wearing their seat belts and speed was a factor in the crash.

The Hamlin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident and charges are pending.
