Bookmark and Share

The State Softball Tournament continued Saturday at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls.

The Washington Warriors looked to make it back to the championship, but to do so they would have to take care of business with Rapid City Stevens first.

Katie Johnson took the mound for the Warriors and she shut down RC Stevens' offense with a 7-0 victory.

Michaela Mayer hits a grand slam in the 5th to put the Warriors up 7-0.

In the championship game the Warriors faced the Kearnels of Mitchell. With the help of two 2 run homeruns by Michaela Mayer and Emily Winckler, Washington shut down Mitchell 9-0 to earn their second straight state title.
