One of South Dakota’s busiest streets is under construction this week.
41st Street in Sioux Falls is down to two-lanes in each direction between Spring Avenue and Norton Avenue. Construction on this portion of the city’s sewer replacement project got underway Monday morning.
The contractor has been given a two-week window to get the work done. If they beat the deadline they’ll get a $5,000 bonus. If they take too long, it will cost them $1,000 for each day they’re behind schedule.
