NE Woman Pleads Guilty To Theft From Tribal Casino

A Nebraska woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling from a Native American casino.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Thursday that 36-year-old Michelle Carrier of Valentine, Neb., pleaded guilty to charges of wire fraud and theft.
Prosecutors say Carrier, who is also known as Michelle Witt-Moore, embezzled money while the payroll clerk at the Rosebud Casino from February 2008 to June 2009.
Carrier faces 20 years in custody and a $250,000 fine for the wire fraud charge. She faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the charge of theft from a gaming establishment on Indian lands.
Sentencing is set for Jan. 3.
