Files kept secret by the Boy Scouts of America have been released.
The files include nearly 15,000 pages of documents on men inside the organization, suspected of child sex abuse. There are five cases that involved men from South Dakota beginning as early as 1966 and as recent as 1985.
All of the files can be found
online.
In 2010 a jury awarded an Oregon man nearly $20,000,000 saying the boy scouts had failed to protect him from a pedophile in the 1980’s, even though the scoutmaster admitted to molesting scouts.
