A South Dakota sex offender who failed to register twice after being released from prison will be going back to the state penitentiary.
Edward Morris, who is 33 years old, will serve two consecutive two year sentences for two counts of failure to register as a sex offender.
Morris was released from the state penitentiary in February at the end of a 10 year sentence out of Spink County for attempted second degree rape. He immediately registered as a convicted sex offender, but two weeks later he changed his home address and failed to re-register in March.
Morris was released on bond and at the beginning of May registered a new address, but prosecutors say it was not a true address.
