Attempted Robbery At Dairy Queen

Bookmark and Share

Police say a Dairy Queen employee is safe after fighting off a would-be robber outside the restaurant.

Shortly after 10:30 Monday morning, police say the suspect, wearing a black mask, waited behind the DQ on the 54-hundred block of West 26th Street.

The suspect tried to take two bank bags from the employee, but she started hitting him with them, instead. The suspect left without any money.

Police say the suspect's voice sounded like a man's. They say the suspect stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs about 150 pounds.

The mask may have been a Halloween mask with some purple coloring on it.
