Iowa Woman Pleads Guilty To SD Bank Robbery

An Iowa woman who told authorities that she had been kidnapped and forced to rob a South Dakota bank with dynamite strapped to her body has pleaded guilty to robbery.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Tuesday that 39-year-old Marie Bock, of Sioux City, Iowa, pleaded guilty to an indictment charging her with bank robbery.
Prosecutors say Bock robbed a First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls in July with fake dynamite strapped to her chest. Bock told authorities that she had been kidnapped by two people and told that the bomb would go off if she didn't rob the bank.
Bock faces 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Jan. 14.
