The first snowfall of the season has made its appearance across most of our area Wednesday night and early Thursday giving us a brief taste of what to expect in the coming months. The precipitation started as rain in many spots but quickly transitioned to snow dropping visibilities and accumulating on the colder surfaces. Because of the snow and cloud cover, temperatures rebounded very little Thursday afternoon. Many of us may think that this snowfall was a little early in the season, but on the contrary, we are right on target getting our first snowfall the last week of October. Here is a list of the snow reports received from this first storm. Stay warm! |
