Saturday marked the last day of the centennial season of the Sioux Falls Farmers Market. And the cool temperatures didn’t stop people from getting one last bag full of locally grown food.
When the farmers market first began in Sioux Falls, it was primarily downtown, and was called the Downtown Farmers Market.
Now it takes place at Falls Park and the name has changed as well.
Despite the changes in technology and clothes over the years, vendors said the structure where everyone gathers is the same.
"Well the structure was designed following that structure. It looks a lot the same, but its more modern. It has the big brick pillars etc., but the structure looks a lot the same,” said Harriet Kattenberg, a vendor.
The farmers market is expected to resume sometime next May.
