The Jackrabbit football team got back to their winning ways on Saturday with a 41-28 win over the visiting Youngstown State.
Quarterback Austin Sumner went off, throwing for 351 yards and five touchdowns. The win brought them into third place in the tight conference at 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
"Honestly I don't know if I've been involved in a first half or a half of football better than that first half so they came out ready to play. (They) Played in every phase of the game to perfection and I know people, the awkward feeling at the end of the game because everything wasn't perfect, but it doesn't matter to me," said Head Coach, John Stiegelmeier.
The Jacks travel to Carbondale, Illinois on Saturday to take on Southern Illinois. Kick-off is slated for 2:00 pm.
