Dalton Bass.. bashing.. spinning... diving... usually into the endzone.. on his way to lead the hills beaver creek patriots to a perfect regular season..
Rex Metzger-HBC Football Coach says: "He's got that natural ability that you can't coach everytime he touches it you think he's going to score."
Ranked number 2 in Minnesota 9 man after the season...
Dalton Bass-HBC Senior says:"We can't let it get to our heads but it's a nice honor."
Bass and the Patriots didn't walk away with all of their games...Last years 9 man champs Edgerton Ellsworth led by Isaac Heard proved to be quite the challenge.. but a pair of early Bass TDs had the Patriots on the fast track to the playoffs.
Metzger:"He was a go to guy that game, you know he's a senior and he's been carrying the ball since he was a sophomore so we put the ball in his hands.. and he was a horse that game."
Dalton Bass:"I guess I have to give a lot of credit to our coaches and our players when we get one thing working it really takes a lot of stress off our running game and that really helps a lot."
And the big plays kept coming all year, whether lining up as a reciever ... or returning the ball 80 yards on kickoffs.
Metzger:"You know he would be the first to admit he's got some pretty good guys out front to make it go for him."
Bass and the Patriots showed off just how impressive their scoring capabilties are in their first playoff game.. tallying more than 80 points.. with plenty coming from Dalton Bass..
Dalton Bass:"We're going to set the tone from the first play and we are going to dominate."
Dalton Bass's high school career came to an end this weekend.. but his big plays excited the fans of Hills Beaver Creek all season.
