The arrests came after a Sioux Falls police investigation intersected with an ongoing federal investigation. They have all bonded out of jail, but are scheduled to go to court November 14th and 15th.
States Attorney Aaron McGowan says the all the charges stem from sex trafficking that took place in Minnehaha County. Some of the solicitation cases date back to 2011.
"Any commercial sexual activity in this community will not be tolerated at any level, and anyone who supports it at any level with be held accountable,” said McGowan
Also two men were arrested in a separate investigation. Neal Eugene Castle and Nickolaus McCracken are charged with statutory rape. Court documents obtained by KDLT News show detectives believe the two men knew the prostitutes they were hiring were underage, but did not care. The charges stem from phone records of underage prostitutes involved in a 2009 case in Tea.
