The General Election is on Tuesday and people have rushed to the polls to cast their vote early, hoping to beat Election Day lines.
The lines were out the door at the Minnehaha County Administration building on Monday, with people anxiously waiting to absentee vote.
John Jones said he encourages everyone to do their civic duty and cast their ballot and recommends early voting for the convenience.
"It's nice to get it out of the way early because you're not worrying about struggling with the lines and everything like that. Parking was already pretty bad today, but it was nice to get in here, get out," said Jones.
Absentee voting lasts until three p.m. on Tuesday and the polls close at seven p.m.
