A South Dakota man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for charges stemming from an attempted robbery in Sioux Falls.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced Tuesday that 26-year-old John Robert Graham was sentenced to two years and three months in prison on a charge of burglary and 10 years in prison on two charges of possessing a firearm. The sentences are to be served consecutively, for a total of 12 years and three months in custody.
Prosecutors say Graham tried to rob a pharmacy last December to steal controlled substances.
