Local Ballot Measures Decided In SD

Voters across South Dakota decided several local issues in Tuesday's general election.
 
Chamberlain voters rejected a $5.3 million bond issue for a new events and fine arts center, residents in the western half of Miner County voted to leave the James River Water Development District over concerns about a lack of projects, and Hanson County voters defeated a proposed wheel tax to help pay for road work.
 
Voters in Hughes County also rejected a wheel tax increase.
 
Residents of Lead voted not to change parking on Main Street.
