Wednesday marked the 31st annual South Dakota Law Enforcement appreciation dinner, at the Ramkota Exhibit Hall in Sioux Falls.
Hundreds of people with connections to the law enforcement field, gathered together to have dinner, socialize and listen to guest speakers.
Former FBI Director, Louis Freeh, who worked on the Penn State, Jerry Sandusky case,
said this event celebrates officials working together to keep communities safe.
"Remember how important our first responders, law enforcement, fire fighters, paramedics are to the public safety and the public welfare," said Freeh.
All tips received at the bar will go towards the Andrew Steen fund, the South Dakota trooper who was critically injured in a high speed chase last month.
