A Sturgis woman has pleaded guilty to stealing from her former employer in Rapid City.
Thirty-six-year-old Darcy Szymanski handled accounts for the investigative services company Kolbach and Associates. She was accused of taking more than $1,000 during her two years serving as business manager.
Prosecutors dropped forgery charges in exchange for her guilty plea to a charge of grand theft by embezzlement.
Szymanski faces up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine when she's sentenced on Dec. 20. She also will face restitution.
