A benefit for trooper Andrew Steen is being held in Sioux Falls Saturday. There will be a silent auction with many prizes and a band. The event is being held Saturday from 3 till 8 PM at Billyfrogs on west 57th Street. According to organizers 100-percent of the proceeds will go Steen's medical fund.
The trooper suffered a serious head injury on October 17th during a high-speed chase in Sioux Falls. There have been a number of fundraisers already and Steen’s mother says the family has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support and prayers.
Authorities say Rachel Coleman hit Steen with her vehicle during a chase before Steen and others fired at her. Coleman faces several charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault against an officer
