SF Man Raised In Israel Worries About Family

Today was another day of violence in Gaza and Israel. Palestinian rockets landed in southern Israel while Israeli forces continued to bombard Hamas targets. The fighting hits close to home for a genetic counselor at Sanford who was born and raised in Israel. He says the fighting is common, but says it’s tough worrying about the safety of family members.
Lior Borovik says, “People still go to work, they still go to the movies if they want to or restaurants. People still live their lives so that's one thing you learn, it's not going to stop you from doing what you are going to do but it's not easy that's for sure. Especially when you live here, it's hard know everyone you care about is over there.”
Egypt is frantically working to negotiate a cease fire.
