As many of you get ready for a busy weekend of shopping a common question might be coming to mind: What do my kids want for Christmas?
KDLT's Phil McIlrath tackles the question and asks some very spunky Sioux Empire children in part one of our two part series.
It's that time of the year, when store shelves fill up with wishes that makes every kid go gaga waiting for December 25th. But parents every year, fight tooth and nail trying to figure out what they're kids really want, so we went to the Source: the preschool class at Go Kids Daycare in Sioux Falls and when it comes to little girls, their wants are loud and clear.
"What do you want for Christmas?" "A Baby,"screams Alexa.
"I want a Baby,"said Riley.
"A baby,"said Elsa.
Yes, a baby, who would think those just barely out of the stage themselves would want something so grown up. When it comes to the dolls out there, they've grown up too!
"I put diapers on her,"said Nina.
"When I feed her a whole bunch of water she pees,"said Riley.
"My mommy changes my babies diapers,"said Alexa.
Aside from being even more realistic than ever before, dolls nowadays can even communicate.
What do babies do? "They squeak, said Elsa.
"Squeak,"said Nina.
But if your little girl isn't interested in dollies, she's not the only one, we did find a few outliers.
"When it's Christmas, I want a real Batman,"said Taylor.
So whether their interests lie in those that crawl or wear capes dolls appear to be a good bet, but then consider the source!
