A new bio diesel blending facility is open in Sioux Falls.
A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday. Harms Oil installed two 20,000-gallon tanks. One of them will be heated to provide bio diesel in the winter.
Bio diesel is made from soybeans and like regular diesel fuel has the consistency of gel when it gets too cold.
The blending facility has been in the works for about a year. The blended fuel will go to retail gas stations, farmers, construction companies, and any one else who wants bio diesel.
