SD Attorney General Warns Shoppers

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says holiday shoppers should use care to avoid common mistakes.
Jackley says people should check refund and return policies for restrictions and exceptions. He says people buying gift cards should check for fees and expiration dates.
The attorney general says shoppers also should review warranties, compare prices and check shipping and handling fees for items ordered by mail or on the Internet.
Jackley also says people shopping on the Internet should avoid using email links. He says those links can appear to be from a known business, when they actually are coming from a different company.
