If you find yourself seeing flashing lights in your rear view mirror that don’t seem quite right, you’re not alone.
According to the Sioux Falls Police Department there is a maroon Chevy truck with fake police lights on the visor.
Police said the truck driver has lights that are manufactured for under cover detectives he or she is using to pull people over.
“There is something on the visor, which is what the first person said. So when they flip the visor down there red and blue lights flashing,” said Officer Sam Clemens, Sioux Falls Police Department.
Police want to remind residents none of their vehicles used for patrolling are trucks.
Officials said if it happens to you, call 911 and give the dispatcher whatever information you can about either the vehicle or the driver.
