For some, “it's the most wonderful time of the year,” with all the “Snow, snow, snow.”
“I love snow. I love when it falls like this, when it falls slow and just the big fluffy flakes. It's pretty,” said Stephanie Neyens
“I'm looking forward to a lot more snow than this,” said Richard Meyers.
“It doesn't bother me. I've grown up with snow every winter,” said Dayton Jensen.
And with one of the first snow falls of the season starting to accumulate in parts of South Dakota, some are thinking of all the fun things winter brings.
“I do a lot of snowmobiling in the winter. We go out to the mountains all the time,” said Jensen.
“I'm more of a summer person. I like to play baseball and golf. So, It's not such a big deal. You can ice fish,” said Drew Schutz.
While there’s plenty of reasons for people to love the white stuff falling from the sky, there's other things people aren't in love with.
“The driving, it always seems people have a learning curve the first snow. They forget how to park. They kind of forget how to drive. They drive too fast, too slow sometimes,” said Neyens.
“I have to drive home. So, it kind of makes it harder. Can't hurry. Got to drive slow,” Kelsey Maltaverne.
While “the weather outside is frightful,” some are, “dreaming of a white Christmas,”
“It makes you think Christmas,” said Neyens.
“Other than having a white Christmas, I don't really love having the snow that much. I'm not much for skiing or snowboarding,” said Maltaverne.
While it may be only a dusting for some, for others they're “walking in a winter wonderland.”
