Artists from all over the state got together on Friday and Saturday to create art and raise money for a good cause.
The bi-annual Artists Against Hunger's showcase took place at the 8th and Railroad center in Sioux Falls. The 2-day event was held to raise funds and collect donations to benefit Feeding South Dakota. Now in it's fourth year, the event has grown to cover three floors and display works of art from more than 50 artists.
“Its fun! It's free for everyone. The artists don't have to pay an entry fee and the public doesn't have to pay to get in and it's a great cause, " said Alix Hentges, the event coordinator.
Several artists donated a large portion of their sales from the event to the organization whose mission is to eliminate hunger in South Dakota.
